Today we are looking at the role of job boards. There are many of these around and they provide an invaluable service for candidates, employers, and recruiters alike.

Finding work in today's market is tough going. LinkedIn has endless job adverts, and it can be very effective, but it can also be highly competitive, and it is easy to see the number of applicants from LinkedIn alone. Often within minutes you can see hundreds of people who have pressed 'apply'. These mega boards attract many employers but is LinkedIn really the best place to hire a new CEO for a multi-national?
A quick glance online for job boards and you will find them in large numbers. Find ones with the right quality can be hard going. But as we launch this week at Candidates Matter, we are proud to announce our first partner board has joined us.
The JobsBoard | A UK Job board website | thejobsboard.co.uk was set up by Tony Line following a long career in recruitment. Tony believed he could do the job better given his understanding the recruitment market.
Thejobsboard.co.uk is not one of the mega boards, and it shows. With a more hands-on approach to managing what is on the board, Tony is able to maintain a higher quality of job adverts from his advertising customers and it shows. The board has over 440 vacancies being advertised today and is growing.
It is clear that job seekers and employers are looking for something different. This is why The JobsBoard has partnered with Candidates Matter as we both have a mutual interest in improving the quality of the recruitment process. As a partner, we are able to drive quality traffic to The Jobsboard and they will be driving candidate awareness on their board to the Candidates Matter commitments.
In the near future, The JobsBoard will be integrating we Candidates Matter so that candidates, employers and recruiters can register their Candidates Matter membership number to help members more easily show their ethical recruitment credentials and commitment to better behaviours and processes.
Candidates Matter is highly focused on improving the experience of candidates and employers in the recruitment process and we are already starting to see a ground swell of support from all sides including the more forwarding thinking and innovative job boards like TheJobsboard.co.uk
